last night the mister & i went on a hot date.
i wore wedges which seeing as i've been at home for just about a week straight working on potty training...
well, wedges are a BIG deal.
i think my fave movie of all time is...
can you guess it....
..........................................................................................................................................................................
the wedding planner. i have it in vhs (thus aging myself). and i always loved the 'movie in the park' scene. and for ten years... [since we've known each other [now being 11 years- holy cow]]... i've been asking to go to a movie in the park.
so we made a plan to go to the park right off of Lake shore drive.
i mean COME ON...
this was the view opposite of the lake.
we got....
and after eating a must-eat crab & artichoke dip (oh my amazingness) with crustini's for an appetizer luke said... 'this is almost perfect.' at which point we realized we didn't have....
yep, forks.
eating salad with hands....
eating shrimp scampi with my hands.
NO thank YOU.
so luke HAD to buy a red velvet cupcake (which may or may not be true seeing as that's his favorite) in order to get forks. he missed 15 minutes of the movie. but we ate our salad and scampi with forks.
can i convince you to LOVE this movie like i do. i mean the romance.... dancing at a movie in a park. let's say it together....
awwwwwwwwww....
so yeah um... i think this is going to be an every year maybe couple-times-of-year type of date because it was just that fun.
but next year i'm gonna have like 4 million forks in my bag just to make sure i don't have to eat with my hands
and so the mister doesn't have to walk a million blocks
and so we can watch the movie in peace.
but then again almost perfect is pretty darn good. i'll take it.
still dating after [who's counting?!] years,
kg:)
