SHINE!

last night we spent time in these verses: "you are the light of the world. a city set on a hill cannot be hidden. nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. in the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." matthew 5:14-16

luke first related it to a power outage and how dark that it really feels and that you all gather together and put the lights in the middle of wherever you're gathered.

but, sometimes we have the light when we're in the light (or act like it) and yet when we go to 'dark places' we become like the dark... we shouldn't be like this....

we can be so much brighter in the dark .... so wherever we go we NEED to SHINE for Jesus.... after all the verse says 'so that they may see your good works,' not that they would hear what you're saying but rather they would see how you serve and love others...

lastly, if you read this and are interested i would love for you to come to an event i'll be at this Friday night at the Allstate Arena. David Crowder will be playing and Greg Laurie will be speaking... you should go.

SHINE with me,
kg:)
