This has been an exciting weekend in the Mac household because it has brought on the biggest preaching opportunities in Luke's life. He got to speak in 'BIG church' at the rolling meadows campus of Harvest. (Yes, it's still called Big church when you're a high school pastor;)). I sat proudly in the middle row (not to make my sweet husband nervous:)) and man, he brought the Word!The message title is Expectations Interrupted... Jesus Surprises from John 11:1-44. (I will post the link as soon as I know where it is and how to do that...)
This message was so good because it is so applicable to our lives... many times expectations define our experience and so often times we live a faith that is based on what we think God should do to solve our problems the way we want him to. But there is a demand that God has on our life, if we take hold of that demand he will not meet our expectations but instead make us feel foolish that we even had set expectations in the first place. Take a listen... I believe it will meet you where you're at today!
P.s. By the grace of God, my husband preached God's Word in an amazing way! So.... proud of him!!!!!!!!!
