Julie & Julia...

So, at the end of December Luke and I got Julie and Julia from the redbox and i absolutely loved it. But i wondered, how would i ever cook a new meal every night?!

Since I was little i've loved the kitchen, especially with baking and thought that someday I would be a fabulous cook. Well, here I am years later and I feel like Luke and I have the same things over and over for dinner. Sometimes I even get scared to have people over for dinner because I don't know what to cook them. Come on, hasn't that ever happened to you?!

So, this is the year. What I've started to do is go through my cookbooks and find recipes that appeal to me and that I think Luke will like. I've made a list... breakfast breads, desserts, dinners, lunches and I am going to make at least one new meal a week. then, if we like it - it will go on the rotation for meals at our house, if we don't... leave it in the cookbook for it to sit there in misery for the rest of it's recipe life.

but, the thing is... is that 'tried and true' recipes are the best!!! so, if you read this blog, like... ever... what is a recipe you love. Please do... SHARE!!! I would love to get some great recipes to try out from you.

Can't wait to tell you how this goes:)
Until then.... have a great day!
kg:)

Here's an easy yummy recipe for you to try. It's nice because you can make enough of the breading for 2 chicken breasts or more depending on how much you're cooking. This is definitely a great company one because it's easy and tasty! Hope you like it!

I also heard that you may be interested in subbing for our food swap. I have an opening the beginning of April if you are interested. Let me know.

Hope you had a fun celebration yesterday! sounded so cute!

Parmesan Herb Chicken - Diane

2 cups grated parmesan cheese 1 tsp salt
¼ cup fresh parsley (not included) 1 tsp pepper
2 Tbsp dried oregano 10 chicken breast halves
2 tsp paprika 1 cup melted butter (NOT INCLUDED)

For swap: Thaw chicken separately from dry ingredients. Dip chicken in butter and then in cheese mixture. Place in greased baking dish and bake 350 for 40 minutes or until chicken is done. I gave everyone ½ a recipe of the breading (ended up being just over 1 cup). I usually sprinkle the extra breading over the chicken and any extra butter. I usually serve this with mashed potatoes and a veggie. Enjoy!
