we made it...

whew!
usually you'd find my monday morning commentary from luke's sermon the night before.
this weekend was a bit different.

we started the weekend with our dear friends lindsay & mark's wedding.

congrats guys.
they are the new Mattingly's.

I was a bridesmaid, Luke was an usher & Carter was a ring bearer.
[yes, carter tripped, hit his head, and screamed while walking down the aisle & no that was not a dream;)]
Reid was left with my friend which was a blessing and allowed less stress for all. :)
so this was my fave pic of three of the four of us.. maybe i should photo shop reid in. bahaha.

then carter had his first ever swim lessons. no picture because i was in the pool with him while he bawled for most of it. i am hoping and praying it can only go up hill from here.

then we were fashionably late for our nephew's first birthday. mr. lamont groves.

it was carnival themed and so my father in law made this fun game.:)

our 2 year olds loved it!

then we went downtown for CHI-TOWN shindig.
a youth event for all jr. highers and high schoolers at our church. 1200 kids. holy COW!
i love seeing events come to life that my husband has poured energy and work into. it was so so so amazing.
God's Word was preached.
students accepted Christ.
and we worshipped our risen King.
it was in the new Harvest Cathedral which made it even COOLER.

the rest of CHI-TOWN shindig was small group time so luke and i traveled to a few of the houses and then hung out while watching the bears win...

Reid or i mean hester ;) was super excited about their win too!

it was such a crazy weekend that we canceled our babysitter tonight because were too tired to go out. and that does.not.happen.

but it was amazing.
i have a full heart.
we have a BIG God.
and i'm still tired.
and my monday morning commentary would say...
this is what encouraged my heart today:
exodus 34:6-7 "The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, 'The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation."
so... how was your weekend... what did you do?
exhausted but refreshed,
kg:)
