easter

this year's easter will always be remembered by just having gotten over the flu, carter's jelly bean trail, & finally having an appetite after being sick!!!

so.... i decided this year i wouldn't go big on the easter baskets because the grandparents love doing that and carter loves candy so, two baskets will be plenty...

well, the sickness got the best of me and i didn't have the chance to run and get candy at the store so i used my mother's candy from her easter basket (shhh!! don't tell her:) and carter didn't know the difference.

he loved waking up to the jelly bean trail...

the boys were great that morning... we opened our last resurrection egg which was empty!!!! yay! he has risen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and they chilled while mommy got ready for church...


and then we spent the rest of the day with family:) what a great day to celebrate the risen Lord!:)
