there's no way but his.

have you ever thought about your in-debtedness to christ?

recently, i was looking through some financial things... like car loans, house payments, tax stuff and thought to myself, 'gosh, my stomach hurts just thinking about how much we owe.'
i went throughout my day... in fact i think i was on my way to walmart and it hit me.

like
a
ton
of
bricks.

has my stomach ever hurt, i mean hurt like 'how am i ever gonna pay him back' about the debt that he paid for me?

colossians 2:14 says, 'and you who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.'
& not only did he pay the debt but he doesn't remind us of it...
psalm 103:12 says, 'as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.'

so i've been thinking more about my indebtedness to Christ. how i couldn't-ever-never-in-a-thousand-years could pay back the debt i owe to him.

the debt is now....
zilch
nil
zero
nothing
naught

and
my
stomach
hurts.
because my poor choices, thoughts that sin is more fun that following him, and that when i laugh at my two year old because of the choices he makes and that he looks ridiculous when he throws a tantrum is the reality of how i look to God when i choose to sin. for when i choose to sin, i choose to suffer.
those things took Jesus to the cross. he paid a high price but he did went to the cross once. for me, for you, for all.
my debt was paid. how can i not rejoice?!
that's far more important than the debt i owe in this life.

thank you God for making a way.
indebted,
kg:)
